Dog Shelter Intake Rates

By Jenny Nolan / October 28, 2016

As pet lovers, the fate of the thousands of dog’s put up for adoption and taken to rescue shelters every day is a cause very close to our hearts. When the latest data for dog shelter intake rates in the U.S. was released showing the figures for the first three months of this year, we thought a great way to do this was to visualize the data in the infographic you see below.

We not only hope the visual nature of the infographic will continue to raise awareness of the sheer number of dog’s taken to shelters throughout the U.S. but also to help spread the word of pet adoption as well. To explore the data further head over to, data is from January to March 2016, and we have crunched some numbers in the Fact File section ourselves. Please help us to share as much as we can 🙂
